And watch this super video for what you can do with a little help from your friends.

From Vampire Supports site:

Vampire Support’s Mission:

Raise awareness about the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico by selling vampire oriented shirts, as well as putting together miscellaneous projects to encourage the ‘in-between’ generation to donate and help out. All proceeds will go towards helping with the relief efforts. The vampire phenomenon has many fandoms and we believe every one of them can come together in a collaborative effort to help out with the Gulf crisis.

Thank you for your support!

VIDEO: Comic-Con 2010: True Blood Panel (c/o @ProgGrrl)

Kudos to @ProgGrrl for getting such great video of the Comic-Con True Blood panel (and others)! Such a treat for those of us who can’t be there. (Boo-urns!)

Below is part one of five. See all five parts at ProgGrrl’s YouTube channel.

Tyler Shields video portrait: Deborah Ann Woll

Check out more of these video portraits by Tyler Shields. Takes me back to my experimental film days. This one of Deborah Ann Woll is striking! Can’t you just feel Jessica all growed up?

Alexander Skarsgård’s short film: Att döda ett barn

I have an affection for short films, having studied film in university, then college. Wonder what I’m missing without captions, but almost don’t mind. Stellan Skarsgård’s narration settles into the score like an instrument.

Wee Alexander Skarsgård in Åke och hans Värld

Hard not to love a mini Alexander Skarsgård making farting noises.

Mainstreaming with BSB

Somehow, I don’t think this is the kind of mainstreaming Vampire Bill had in mind. The Backstreet Boys ride the coattails of vamp chic in one of their latest videos.

Thoughts? Anyone else surprised A.J. didn’t show more ink? Wasn’t this video born to showcase his sleeves?

At Merlotte’s: A True Blood Sitcom

Oh, what a laugh track can do.

Something I love about True Blood is how the writers insert humour into the darkest places — figuratively and literally — without reducing each scene to something crass and empty. The meaning and integrity of each character remains. We get to feel smart, and the narrative rolls on with nary a twitch. Save for you, Terry Bellefleur.

That said, this video is an incredible study in pacing. The laugh track is laid in to absolute perfection, canned laughter judiciously selected to fit each “punchline.” *cue laughter*
